MIT Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation is seeking a Head Coach of Women’s Basketball / Assistant Director of Compliance
RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Head Coach, this position has the responsibility for the administration, management, oversight and development of a competitive Division III basketball program in a manner consistent and responsive to the philosophy and objectives of MIT and the Department of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation (DAPER). This position will also have responsibilities in the area of NCAA and institutional compliance. MIT supports 33 NCAA Division III programs and 8 programs (Crew) that compete at the Division I level (non-scholarship)

Job RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree is required, a Master’s degree preferred. The successful candidate should have 3-5 years coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level. Administrative experience in at the collegiate level is preferred. In addition, he/she should possess strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Appropriate certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Biohazards are required or successful candidate should be willing to complete certification within 30 days of hire.
