Job DescriptionBaldwin-Wallace College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Assistant Women's Basketball coaching position. This individual will assist the head coach in all phases of the basketball program and provide leadership for the women's golf program. This assistance includes but is not limited to the following: junior varsity head coach with associated administrative duties; travel arrangements; extensive recruiting including evening and summer travel; weight room and court work; scouting; evaluation; promotions/public relations and community service coordination; and directing summer basketball camps. The individual will also coach and provide administrative direction for the women's golf program. Anticipated starting date: No later than August 1, 2008.

Baldwin-Wallace College is a private liberal arts and sciences college located in Berea, Ohio which is 20 miles southwest of Cleveland. Total enrollment is approximately 4,500 with 3,000 undergraduate day students. Founded in 1845, Baldwin-Wallace College was one of the first Ohio colleges to admit students without regard to race and gender. Job RequirementsEssential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities: The following duties are not to be considered a complete list of duties and responsibilities assigned to this position.

- Will help identify potential student athletes. Will recruit and evaluate during the summer months as well as the regular season and post season.
- Will recruit student-athletes with a commitment to academic success. Will generate mailings to recruits. Will be responsible for initial evaluation of videotapes received in the basketball office from potential recruits.
- Will work with individual players in skill development as well as making evaluations and recommendations to the head coach.
- Will comply with all NCAA, OAC, and B-W rules and regulations.
- Will foster positive relationships with players, head coach and be very team oriented in dealings with the coaching staff.
- Will serve as Junior Varsity head coach and handle related administrative duties - creation of the JV game schedule as well as official's assignments and recreation center scheduling for those games.
- Will assist the head coach in the formation of travel itineraries, and in particular help make arrangements with restaurants for trips. Will be responsible for travel logistics such as packing, loading and unloading items.
- Will organize and maintain hard copy and computer recruiting files.
- Will oversee and motivate the weight training program as well as help in designing the overall conditioning program.
- Will organize the scouting schedule, and is responsible for all tape exchange and will assist in developing scouting reports that may include editing of videotape for viewing by the team.
- Will break down and edit both practice and game tapes to provide feedback to both the head coach and student athletes for team and individual teaching.
- Will be expected to help to create and implement marketing/promotional strategies for both the B-W and surrounding community. Will also organize and carry out community service projects for the student athletes.
- Will also serve as the director of the summer basketball camps. This includes the design and mailing of brochures, the organization of registrations, the budgeting and financial dealings, all correspondence and the coordination of campus resources needed for camp.
- Will recruit, coach and perform the administrative responsibilities for the women's golf team.

Qualifications: A bachelor's degree and experience coaching basketball is required. A Master's degree and collegiate coaching/playing experience is preferred. Must be competent in all phases of basketball skills and strategies. Must be extremely proficient in teaching ability and motivating players. Knowledge of NCAA Regulations is preferred. Must be a self-starter and detail-oriented. Must have solid computing skills. Must have a valid Driver's License, good driving record and be able to travel. The successful candidate must successfully complete a background check and provide official college transcripts.
