Job DescriptionThis is a 10 month fulltime coaching position. The successful candidate will assist in all facets of the football program as assigned by the head football coach and with in the rules of the NCAA and the Ohio Athletic Conference. Administrative duties include but are not limited to assist to plan, organize and direct all phases of the intercollegiate football program including practice, conditioning and staff management.
As the special team’s coordinator, this individual will supervise a staff of 17 coaches in the implementation and execution of all phases of special teams. Duties include planning practice, playbook updates, film breakdown, game planning, play calling and motivation.
As the junior recruiting coordinator, this individual will be responsible for organizing and setting up Junior Recruiting Days in May and June. This individual will identify juniors who meet the Ohio Initiative Standards and develop strategies to attract them to John Carroll. Identifying and attracting student athletes from the East Coast of the United States is also an expectation.
The successful candidate will have experience on the offensive side of the ball. The offensive assistant coach will aid the offensive coordinator in practice organization, opponent film breakdown, game planning and motivation.

Job RequirementsApplicants must have at least 3 years of coaching experience at the college level. Applicants must have significant experience in coaching special teams. A bachelor degree is required and a master’s degree is preferred.
