Job DescriptionThe head coach is responsible for all aspects of the cross country program, including scheduling and coaching practices and contests; mentoring, and retaining student-athletes, monitoring annual sport budgets; organizing and implementing a successful recruiting plan for the program; supervising the assistant coaches; and meeting all NCAA, MIAA and institutional rules and regulations. Assistant track coach reports to the head coach, and will be responsible for duties as assigned by the Head Coach to assist in the organization and delivery of the program.
Job RequirementsMinimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree, master’s preferred, and a commitment to the values, high sense of ethics, and expectations of NCAA Division III athletics and a liberal arts college. Candidates must have an extensive and accomplished coaching background in cross country, preferably at the collegiate level, excellent communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a proven ability to recruit quality student-athletes.
