Job DescriptionGettysburg College is seeking an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach to work in the Athletics Department. This position will be responsible for assisting the Head Women’s Basketball Coach in the areas of coaching, recruiting, academics, strength training, and video technology. Additional responsibilities may include coaching a second sport and/or administrative duties as assigned by the director of athletics may be required.
Bachelor’s degree required; masters preferred. One to three years of basketball coaching experience is required. Proven abilities in organizational and instructional aspects of coaching are required as well as demonstrated effectiveness in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in the environment of an academically demanding liberal arts institution with NCAA Division III athletic philosophies and policies. Compensation includes an annual salary, medical, dental and vision insurance.
