Job Description• The Head Coach will oversee all facets of the program including but not limited to: recruiting, budget management, coaching, travel, and a high level of energy and enthusiasm to carry on a highly successful program that is now in place. This person must show a strong history of quality recruiting, knowledge of the game, ability to lead and mentor student athletes and assistant coaches.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, Master’s Degree preferred; or two to three years of proven experience as a coach or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to support Howard Payne University’s mission as a Christian institution and be an active member of a local Evangelical church.
• Must maintain a current Texas driver's license at all times. Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time during the spring semester recruiting athletes and 50% of the time during the basketball season.
